La Brea Loop Trail

This 1.8 mile footpath begins north of the upper picnic area at Burke Roche Point and follows the natural slope of the ravine amid remnants of natural habitat leading to La Brea Avenue. The path parallels the La Brea Greenbelt leading up to the five points intersection and then switches back to a dirt road. Along this last stretch of the hike you will pass the Butterfly and Hummingbird Gardens. Alternate routes along the loop include the Ron Webster Trail, which intermittently bisects the loop allowing for shorter walks or extended nature hikes.
