Park to Playa Regional Trail

You can currently hike or bike the Park to Playa trail from Stocker Corridor through Kenneth Hahn SRA.

A pedestrian bridge across La Cienega is scheduled for construction soon with completion projected in 2019.  This bridge will provide access from Kenneth Hahn to Stoneview Nature Center.

A new trail is currently under construction linking Stoneview Nature Center with the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook.  This portion of Park to Playa will be open in the Summer of 2018.

A new section of Park to Playa is currently planned along existing trails from the parking lot at the top of the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook through Culver City Park and out to the Ballona Creek Bike Path via Dusquesne Ave.  This section of trail will be complete in the Summer of 2018.

You can currently hike or bike Park to Playa along the Ballona Creek Bike Path from Dusquesne Ave to the beach at Playa Del Rey.

When completed Park to Playa will offer 13 miles of continuous trail.  80% of the Trail will be ADA accessible.  The entire trail will be dog friendly.

Getting to the Baldwin Hills Parklands

There are many ways to get to the Baldwin Hills Parklands including by car, bike, bus, rail, or even on foot.

Public transportation is available via:  Metro Expo Line  |  Metro Yellow Line  |  Metro Local 217  |  Metro Local 212/312  |  Culver City Bus 4  |  Culver City Bus 5  |  Crenshaw Dash

The Link Parklands Shuttle is also available for 25 cents on weekends providing transportation between BHSO, Kenneth Hahn, Stoneview, and Metro Expo Line

Bike Access: The Park to Playa Trail, which is scheduled for completion in 2019 will provide continuous bike access throughout the Parklands.  Currently the lack of a pedestrian entrance to the Parklands from La Cienega can make access tricky.  The map below provides a work around.  Bike riders can go from the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook to Kenneth Hahn SRA by taking Jefferson Blvd north to Rodeo Rd, make a right on Rodeo then a right on South Genesse Ave, left on Colosseum St, right on Duray Pl, continue straight on Sanchez Dr, then right on South Cloverdale Ave.  Park access can be found at the end of Cloverdale.

Parking: Parking is available throughout the Parklands.

Free parking is available at Culver City Park, Stoneview Nature Center, Norman O. Houston Park, and Stocker Corridor.  Kenneth Hahn has free parking on weekdays.

Paid parking is available at Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook 7 days a week and Kenneth Hahn on weekends.

The map below shows bus, rail and bike routes that provide access to the Parklands.
